®
isan enhanced featurethat gives greatermapdetail as themaprange
isadjustedinontheairport.Theairportdisplayonthemaprevealsrunwayswith
numbers, taxiways identiers, and airport landmarks including ramps, buildings,
control towers, and other prominent features. Resolution is greater at lower map
ranges.Theaircraftsymbolprovidessituationalawarenesswhiletaxiing.
PressingtheDCLTRSoftkey(declutter)onceremovesthetaxiwaymarkingsand
airportidenticationlabels.PressingtheDCLTRSoftkeytwiceremovesVORstation
ID,theVORsymbol,andintersectionnamesifwithintheairportplanview.Pressing
theDCLTRSoftkeyathirdtimeremovestheairportrunwaylayout,unlesstheairport
inviewispartofanactiveroutestructure.PressingtheDCLTRSoftkeyagaincycles
backtotheoriginalmapdetail.
The SafeTaxi database contains detailed airport diagrams for selected airports.
Thesediagramsprovidethepilotwithsituationalawarenessbydisplayingtheaircraft
position in relation to taxiways, ramps, runways, terminals, and services. This
informationshouldnotbeusedbythepilotasthebasisformaneuveringtheaircraft
ontheground.Thisdatabaseisupdatedona56-daycycle.
SCHEDULER
SchedulermessagesappearintheAlertsWindowonthePFD.Whenascheduler
messageiswaiting,theALERTSSoftkeylabelchangestoADVISORY.Pressingthe
ADVISORY Softkey opens the Alerts Window and acknowledges the scheduler
message.ThesoftkeylabelrevertstoALERTSwhenpressed,theAlertsWindowis
removed from the display, and the scheduler message is deleted from the message
queue.
Message timers set to periodic alerting automatically reset to the original timer
valueoncethemessageisdisplayed.Whenpoweriscycled,allmessagesareretained
untildeleted,andmessagetimercountdownisresumed.
Enter a Scheduler Message
1)
Select the AUX - Utility Page.
2)
Press the FMS Knob momentarily to activate the flashing cursor.
3)
Turn the large FMS Knob to highlight the first empty scheduler message
naming field.
